Yesterday 12/10, was my birthday. Not just any old birthday, but one of the big ones. 65! There, I said it. I don’t feel 65, I don’t look 65 and I sure as hell don’t act 65, at least the version of 65 that resides in my mind. Nevertheless, the years don’t lie. I look at it as having the distinction of being born in the same year as Wonder Woman, so at least I’m in the company of another badass woman who is still kicking some serious ass on the big screen and inspiring little girls to grow up to be just like her.
Given the fact that many people in my family live to see 100, I have recently started taking stock of my life and how I want the final 35 or more years to look. Because I still have ONE-THIRD of my life left. And this is the best third – when I can be and do and create anything that my mind can dream up. That thought is very exciting to me, and I have started making big plans! This will be the first post of my ongoing journey about life after 65!
My soul-searching started with some quotes that I found on Pinterest.
