Glamorous Ranch Addition

Twice the glamorous style! Adding a second-story addition to this ranch home gave Marcia an expanded canvas to work her design magic. On the first floor, a contemporary powder room is awash in a rich palette of black and gold. The family room makeover began with walnut stain on dated paneling, creating a moody and masculine retreat. The focal point? A massive slab of gorgeous granite added to the fireplace— an award-winning and brilliant detail. Meticulous detail continues upstairs, where copper glass penny tiles add pizzazz in the son’s bath. Things take a feminine turn in the guest bath, with an artistic use of colorful glass subway tiles.
