Interior designer Karen Dubinsky enjoyed a successful career in sales before deciding to pursue her true passion, interior design. After graduating from St. Louis Community College in 2006 with a degree in interior design and a certificate of specialization in kitchen and bath design, Karen embarked on her own as an interior designer and founded residential firm KDesign in 2009. For the past three years, she has also worked as a design specialist at Beyond Storage, a St. Louis-based custom closet and storage company.
Since then, Karen has cultivated a diverse clientele with a wide range of design styles and has guided each of her clients through the maze of design decisions that eventually becomes the space they’ve imagined.
Joining award-winning Marcia Moore Design is the next step in Karen’s design journey and a dream come true for her. Transforming chaos into tranquility is a hallmark of Karen’s designs and a path she will continue to follow in her new position. She believes that with thoughtful interior design, you should feel the calm, the excitement, the intensity or ease of every space, and that each space should be a reflection of your identity and what nourishes you.
In addition to her work as an interior designer, Karen is an active volunteer and Board Member of Friends of Kids with Cancer.
