Part of my childhood we lived in Lombard, a suburb of Chicago. They had a park named Lilacia Park that was nothing but lilac bushes and had a lilac festival each spring. I have loved the look and smell of lilacs ever since. The festival is coming up May 1-19 if you happen to be in Lombard. 😉
