Even though it’s felt like spring these past couple of days in St. Louis, the calendar does say mid-November, fall is in full swing and winter is knocking on the door. One of the easiest ways to usher in this pretty and cooler season is with a fabulous wreath on your front door.
So today I have gathered lots of inspiration for you! And as you would expect from me, most of these wreaths are not typical because just like your home, your door décor should reflect your personality, too! And one size or style of wreath just doesn’t fit all.
One piece of advice as you’re choosing your wreath; make sure it color coordinates with your front door. Colors that clash, like a pink front door on a red brick house, make me cringe.
And if you need a custom home with a custom door to go with your fabulous fall wreath (or if you want to remodel the home you have), click here to check out my portfolio and here to learn more about working with us.
ALL THE FALL FEELS
There’s still time to embrace fall before winter begins. Here are some wonderful and unique autumn-inspired wreaths.
These heart wreaths can be used now and then brought out again for Valentine’s Day!
Love the asymetrical look of these wreaths on gold hoops. Go bright or moody with the florals; both work for fall.
More pretty asymetrical options, this time on grapevines.
Think white roses with eucalyptus or go a little southern with beautiful white magnolia leaves.
Go au naturale with wheat sheaves or try an enchanted forest feel with tangled twigs dappled with moss and lichen.
Try “not necessarily fall” colors, textures and florals, such as protea, blue pinecones, succulents, winterberries, lambs ear and cotton.
Glam up your door with a little bit of gold.
Wreaths don’t have to be round. Think outside the circle and try an unusual shape.
Make it wispy and delicate.
Or lush and full.
Fruits are a pretty way to change up a typical floral or evergreen wreath.
When autumn turns to winter, so must our door décor! Although some of the wreaths I’ve already shared could transition into the winter, here are a few that really say the season has changed.
Bird is the word with these sweet Cardinals in the snow wreaths (perfect for my St. Louis peeps).
Snowy snowy day!
Blue is a nice change of pace, too.
And finally, how about a dose of southern holiday hospitality? A magnolia wreath is a classic way to say “welcome to our home.”
So have I inspired you to take your seasonal door décor up a notch? Wreaths are an easy, fun and beautiful way to say welcome!
