She is especially fond of her partnership with the Rockwood School District Career Shadowing program for high school juniors interested in becoming interior designers. Marcia Moore Design’s full-time Lead Associate Designer is Jet Jetter, who began his career with the St. Louis design firm in 2014 as an intern. Today, Jet is taking on residential clients of his own and assisting Marcia in many ways. As a graduate of Iowa State University’s Interior Design School, Jet brings his technological expertise and youthful creativity to Marcia Moore Design.
Jet’s education from one of the nation’s top 10 design programs has fostered his love of technology. As the resident expert at Revit®, the Autodesk system used at Marcia Moore Design, he can precisely create floor plans and furniture layouts as well as elevation views, stair plans, 3D renderings and more.
Jet feels that everything on this planet, with the exception of nature, is designed.
“The designs we produce need to relate to the client’s dreams and aesthetic taste because we all respond best in environments we feel most comfortable in,” Jet said.
Marcia nearly hired another designer in late 2014 but was so impressed with Jet’s capabilities as her intern that she held the position open until he graduated in 2015.
“I’m so glad I did,” Marcia said. “He has been a great addition to my team.”
